Afghan evacuees are arriving in Buffalo. Several local organizations have come together and formed Buffalo United for Afghan Evacuees to assist people with resettlement. They are seeking the support of the community to help these vulnerable families with shelter, clothing, and food. Orchard Park Community Church is collecting donations for the Afghan Evacuees throughout the four-week Advent season, November 28 through December 24. You can help support these families by providing some of the most essential items needed:
Bath Towels (set of 2)
Bedding – complete sheet set for Twin or Full/Queen
Comforter or blanket (Twin or Full/Queen)
Bed pillows
Baskets will be put out in the Narthex for collection.
